Why companies’s future lies in coworking ecosystems (2013)

In 2013, this presentation by Jean-Yves Huwart of Global Enterprise outlined an argument that economic organisation had shifted from nations and kingdoms in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, through corporation-led structures in the twentieth century, toward a greater role for individuals. The deck’s stated agenda examined pressure on the traditional corporate model, tools for distributing work, and the use of coworking and social networks to support the formation of business ecosystems. Global Enterprise described itself as a Brussels-based consultancy working on innovation, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, ecosystem building and new ways of working, including the integration of coworking into long-term strategies. Introductory slides also documented the organisation’s involvement in running Coworking Europe conferences in Brussels, Berlin and Paris between 2010 and 2012, as well as intrapreneurship conferences in Brussels and Paris. A closing slide reproduced a result from the 2010 Coworking Europe survey, showing an 87% “Yes” response and a 13% “No” response, although the supplied image did not include the question associated with those answers. The title slide identified the venue as Rezonance in Lausanne on 17 January 2013.
