Business Centres and Social activities Survey – First results (2018)

This 2019 slide deck reported results from a survey of business centres about their service mix, staffing, marketing activity and customer profiles. The survey export recorded 21 total responses and identified 5 February 2018 as its creation date, while the cover was dated 26 July 2019. Meeting rooms were offered by all 21 respondents, followed by private offices at 95.24% and coworking desks at 85.71%. Virtual offices, IT support and catering services were also common, while creativity rooms, club membership and accounting or human-resources support appeared less frequently. Staffing responses showed reception and facility management as the most frequently covered positions, each selected by five of the 20 respondents to that question. The marketing section drew 19 responses and recorded advertising and media and social media as the leading listed actions, although each was selected by only four respondents. Customer-profile results indicated that small and medium-sized enterprises were the dominant tenant group for many participating centres, whereas startups were more often described as important but not dominant. The visible pages did not identify a presenter, research author or commissioning organisation.
