FAQs about the virtual conference

Will the content of the Coworking Europe 2020 virtual part be the same as the physical conference?

Indeed. Panels and keynotes will be live-streamed. Online Q&A will be made possible during and in the immediate aftermath of the sessions. Speakers and panelists will be available to answer questions through the virtual conference platform messaging system.

Will I be able to meet and interact with all the other attendees?

Definitely. The virtual conference platform will also be the event App delegates physically present in Vienna will use to get their information and interact. The goal is to have a seamless as possible experience for both virtual and physically attending delegates. One to one video chats will be possible based on invites and acceptation by the counterparts.

Can I choose to attend different sessions or will there be only one live stream to watch?

You will be able to switch from one breakout session to another anytime you want. The experience will be as close as the experience you would get as an attendee in Vienna.

If I miss a session, can I catch it back later as a record?

Indeed. The records will be available up to May 2021.

What are the technical solutions we will be using?

We work with a couple of platform providers who have build specific hybrid conference tools, integrating streaming, information push possibilities, one to one chatrooms, exhibition and more. The tools create a virtual venue similar to the physical venue experience the audience present in Vienna will enjoy. The virtual attendees will be closely associated during the sessions, and faces displayed on screens in the rooms, for those who will have turned their camera on.

How can I join the virtual conference?

People who buy their virtual ticket will receive a code to login on the platform within a few weeks. You will be able to create your profile. We will upload content prior to the conference and likely host some pre-conversations.

How can I follow or take part in the unconference?

The interactive unconference sessions will be live audio streamed. A community manager will share the question and allow people to directly share their input with the participant of the unconference sessions. In the case of too many interaction, the community manager will filter the questions and inputs. Conversation will keep going, if necessary, through the chatroom, after the session.

Why is it worth it to still come to Vienna to attend the Coworking Europe 2020 conference?

There are many reasons. Just as in coworking, we know that although great, virtual presence is not as enjoyable as the physical presence and the in person encounters. You will have more accidental fruitful introductions (although this will also be possible virtually through some random breakout coffee breaks organized online). You will be able to get more of the vibes and delights from the conference and from the great Vienna city. The coworking tour of Vienna and Bratislava (40 min away from the Austrian capital) will also be a paramount of the conference, during the event’s week.

Can I change my mind and still come physically to attend the conference in Vienna once I have my virtual ticket?

Absolutely. Those having a virtual ticket booked and who choose to come to Vienna still will have the opportunity to upgrade their ticket by buying an extra access, which will be the difference between the price of the virtual ticket and the price of the physical event pass at the time they purchase it.
