The city of Paris supports the development of a 9.000 m2 mini-city that will focus on the music industry.
It will entail a big coworking space for sound and music professionals.
Called MurMure, the former electrical transformer building from the ’30s will be a multi-use environment, also hosting a recording studio in the basement, shops, and crafts in the musical world (luthiers, record dealers, etc.), as well as a restaurant on the ground floor to finish with a vegetized roof terrace dedicated to “silence”.
“The idea is to say: you are musicians, you record, you break your guitar string, you buy it on the ground floor,” explained Eleonore Givry, project architect.
