A journey into the Lionesa Campus in Porto (CWE23)

This 2023 conference deck presented Lionesa Business Hub as a mixed-use campus in the Porto area of Portugal. It outlined the site’s scale, location, masterplan, workspace and retail offer, and stated aims concerning talent acquisition and workplace happiness. The campus overview reported 7,000 people working across 120 companies and 46 nationalities, with 11 buildings, 80,000 square metres of office space, 50,000 square metres of green and exterior areas, and 3,500 parking spaces. A further 20,000 square metres was assigned to retail and co-living. The location slide placed the campus five minutes from Maia, seven minutes from Matosinhos, and ten minutes from Porto, the airport and Leixões Harbour. The masterplan identified offices, co-living, the Leça do Balio Monastery and Balio Garden, alongside several buildings attributed to named architects. The deck also described customised offices and supporting retail services such as restaurants, shops, cafés, a pharmacy and a hairdresser. Its reported happiness indicators showed high levels of member pride, workplace recommendation and interest in remaining at the campus when changing jobs.
