Plants strategy – Turn your coworking space into a garden (CWE23)

This 2023 Coworking Europe slide deck examined indoor plants in coworking and office environments through photographs, plant identifications, reported wellbeing benefits and basic care advice. Its opening invited audience members with plant expertise to participate. Illustrated examples identified bow hemp, ivy and oleander, while other photographs showed large indoor plants being displayed and watered in shared workspaces. The deck stated that exposure to plants and flowers had been associated with reduced stress and lower blood pressure, improved mood, greater creativity, and better concentration. It connected these reported effects with office, study and creative environments, but did not visibly cite research. The closing care guidance described overwatering as a major cause of plant death. It advised against pouring unfinished coffee or tea into planters and recommended limiting repeated relocation so plants could adapt to their surroundings. Overall, the deck combined a light audience exercise and workplace photography with introductory claims about the mental-health value of indoor planting and practical suggestions for maintaining plants in shared spaces.
