Istanbul’s former main Airport will be turned into one of Europe’s biggest Tech Hub.

“Spanning 138.600m2 and serving 2,000 technology firms and entrepreneurs, Terminal Istanbul will become the new meeting point for global technology companies and investment funds”, stated Turkey’s minister of Industry, Mehmet Fatih KACIR.

The technopark will be equipped, a.o, with coworking areas, modern office spaces, incubation centers, accelerator programs and R&D laboratories.

Since the opening of the new Istanbul airport, alongside the Black sea, in 2018, the older Airport area has been hosting different initiatives, such as the technology festival, Teknofest.
