Swatch Group ends his coworking experience, triggering insatisfaction among employees.

The Swiss watch manufacturer had started a program allowing its staff’s members to work from a number of coworking satellite offices. Marketing department’s members, for instance, could work, within some spots, alongside people active in the HR department. Today, the company asks everybody to come back to the group’s head offices, arguing that “this type of remote work is not conducive to team work.”

The group’s headcount amounts 16.000 people in Switzerland.

“Several executives of the multinational, devastated by this decision, fear that employees will decide to leave the company. In writing to avoid being recognized, a responsible person says he fears for the group’s subsidiaries”, reports the Swiss French speaking national broadcaster RTS – Radio Télévision Suisse.
The Swiss Employer’s Union is also worried by Swatch ‘s decision to move backward on that field.
