UK and Germany based coworking operator Techspace will open a 7.500 m2 big location in London, Clerkenwell and plans a new location in Munich.

The new location will provide space for 900 desks and more than 1,000 new members.

Founded in 2012, Techspace has opened offices in London (6) and Berlin (2) to support tech businesses at every stage of their journey. It has helped companies such as Databricks, Plaid, Worldcoin, and Pleo set up their London and Berlin operations.

The new Clerkenwell Techspace will be located within a £ 35 Mio renovated and energy optimized (Breeam) former Gordon Gin’s distillery. Amenities will include a rooftop bar and café, terraces with skyline views, double-height event venue, and spaces for everything from meetings, wellness and podcasting.

The deal is the result of a partnership with the private investment firm Noé Group and its real estate arm Capreon. Noe Group’s founder Leo Noé will join Techspace’s board.

“The collaboration with Capreon on the new Clerkenwell site marks an inflexion point for Techspace as the company doubles its member portfolio, from 3500 to over 6000 members, by the Summer of 2025”, state both companies. “This deal is also a great example of how an asset owner and an operator like Techspace can work together to acquire new sites”, says Jonathan Bevan, Techspace’s CEO.
