The Madonie region in Sicily bets on “astronomical tourism” and coworking to re-boot its local economy.

The region is supported in that ambition by the South Working – Lavorare dal Sud association, launched in 2020. The association, a.o., aims at convincing digital workers from the rest of the country to move to the delightful locations Southern Italy especially offers. Therefore, it maps all facilities where individuals or groups can find proper locations to work from: coworking spaces, in first instance, but also local libraries, hotels or even publics spaces. South Working calls those locations “community spaces”.

On its website, the association also displays community spaces locates in other regions of Italy.
