The Welsh regional coworking spaces network, TownSq, has increased its annual revenues by 50% in 2024, reaching nearly €4.8 million.
The company demonstrates the feasibility of building a profitable network of coworking spaces in smaller cities and less urbanized areas. TownSq now operates nine locations across the UK, including three new ones opened in 2024. The company also operates two locations in the London area.
“We’re delighted to see our investments into our growth start to pay off as we now see all of our sites in operation and our services businesses continue to grow”, comments Gareth I. Jones, TownSq’s CEO and co-founder, who has been a regular speaker at previous Coworking Europe conferences.
TownSq has been very successful in the last years to build partnerships with local authorities. It supports a range of services to local entrepreneurs and ecosystems of freelancers. The company says it “assisted in the launch of its first Associate Space with the opening of The Goldworks in Ebbw Vale, last October”, giving local people a workplace and support to start and grow their businesses in Blaenau Gwent, a county in Southern Wales.
