The French utility conglomerate VINCI has launched Bikube, its own co-living and coworking brand.

Vinci, which employs a global workforce of 280,000, recently inaugurated the first Bikube location in Lyon. The coworking facilities are complimentary for hotel and co-living guests, while non-guests can access them through a day-pass system. Bikube also offers rental services for meeting and event rooms.
The name “Bikube” means “hive” in Danish.

VINCI Immobilier, the real estate arm of the Vinci Group, has already developed expertise in hospitality services, particularly in senior and student residences.
“With Bikube, we are targeting a diverse customer base: travelers passing through—whether for business or leisure—professionals on temporary assignments with local businesses, and, on the co-living side, young professionals or foreign customers who face challenges finding traditional rental accommodation. Our goal is to provide a straightforward offer without the need for prior visits,” explained a representative from VINCI Immobilier. explains Emilie Schlageter, Bikube project director.
“We are aimed at travelers who could stay in apart hotels or Airbnb rentals, but who do not find the same conviviality in these offers,” Damien Odin, deputy general manager of Vinci Immobilier Résidences Grées.

Bikube will also operate in-house restaurants.

According to Voyage d’affaires online magazine, the Bikube brand (buildings of 5,500 m² for 180 apartments) intends to build a network in the main French cities. Two projects are underway, the first in Montpellier, with an opening planned for 2025, and the other in Suresnes, in the Paris region, expected in the third quarter of 2026.
