Dutch coworking operator Tribes is 10 years old, leader hands over reins to co-founding CEO

The Dutch coworking operator Tribes is celebrating its 10th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, founder and CEO Eduard Schaepman has announced that he will hand over the leadership role to co-founder Jasper Bekkering.

“Jasper has been instrumental in shaping Tribes from the start, and I believe his vision and expertise will propel the company to even greater heights,” said Eduard Schaepman, in a press release, emphasizing on the fact that he is far from retiring.

Eduard Schaepman is one of Europe’s pioneers in the flexible workspace industry. Today, Tribes, renowned for its nomadic and ethnically inspired design, operates 17 locations across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.

The company is majority owned by the private equity firm Oaktree Capital Management.

“We wish Eduard Schaepman the very best in his next chapter, and we welcome Jasper Bekkering into his new role as CEO. We are confident that his longstanding expertise and dedication will continue to drive Tribes forward, ensuring a seamless transition and an exciting future for the company”, says Federico Alvarez-Demalde, Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management.

Tribes has been very supportive of Coworking Europe over the years.
