Swedish Coworking Operator iOffice’s Customer Base Increased By 40% In 2024

Swedish coworking operator iOffice increased its number of tenant companies by 40% in 2024, growing from 665 to 903 customers, announced the company in a press release.
iOffice attributes the rise to growing demand for flexible office solutions and an offering that appeals to businesses transitioning from traditional leases. Ioffice expects to welcome its 1,000th tenant during the summer of 2025.
According to Homan Tehrani, iOffice’s CEO, who is a regular speaker at the Coworking Europe conference, new customers generally fall into two categories: those switching from other coworking providers and those leaving self-managed offices for more flexible arrangements. He sees the latter as part of a wider industry shift. “Companies have realized how cost-effective this model is. One recent client told us they saved over 18.000 € per year after moving in”, he illustrates.
Founded in 2007, iOffice currently operates 11 locations across Stockholm and Gothenburg, making it one of the country’s largest and most profitable players in the sector. The company added two new spaces in 2024: one on Sveavägen in Stockholm, and the other at Sjöbefälsskolan in central Gothenburg— a 4,000 m2 building under active renovation since the first tenants moved in a year ago.
iOffice projects full occupancy by the end of 2025. For Homan Tehrani, the challenges of renovating while hosting active tenants, but described the progress as effective. The project has included replacing all doors, repainting interiors, and restoring architectural features like the original marble staircase.
Looking ahead, Ioffice plans further expansion in Gothenburg, where demand for coworking space is increasing. The company is already in talks with landlords to secure larger spaces than previously typical in the city.
Ioffice continues to grow organically while remaining profitable, tells the coworking operator. The company emphasizes that customer acquisition has not resulted in significant marketing costs, suggesting strong word-of-mouth momentum and a stable demand for flexible, centrally located workspaces in Sweden’s largest urban centers.
