Lisbon-based Coworking Operator Avila Spaces Wins Yet Another Award

Lisbon based Avila Spaces has been named the winner of the “Coworking Spaces” category at the Cinco Estrelas Regiões Awards 2024, a national award program in Portugal that recognizes leading brands across a wide range of sectors including banking, media, automotive, and services. The awards use a consumer-focused evaluation system that considers factors such as brand trust, innovation, price/quality ratio, customer satisfaction, and recommendation intention.

The recognition adds to a growing list of distinctions for Avila Spaces, which was named “Best Coworking in the World” by the Global Startup Awards in 2023, and also received awards from the South Europe Startup Awards and Work Design Magazine.

These Awards help the Coworking Industry in Portugal to get a higher visibility in the eyes of a broader audience.

Founded in 2004, Avila Spaces operates three locations in Lisbon, offering flexible workspaces including coworking areas, private offices, and meeting rooms.

The most recent of its locations, the Cowork Café in Parque das Nações, one of Lisbon’ most important leisure area, played a role in the award win, remoinds this article.

Avila’s CEO Carlos Gonçalves highlighted the company’s focus on flexibility and workplace design, noting that Avila aims to support companies of all sizes. Creative Director Teresa Jacinto added that attention to design, natural light, and community-building activities contributes to workplace well-being and employee retention for Avila’s clients.

Carlos Gonçalves supported Coworking Europe since the beginning and is a regular speaker at the conference.
