Aticco Expands With New Openings in Barcelona and Lisbon, Strengthening Its Iberian Presence

The Spanish Coworking operator Aticco has announced two significant additions to its portfolio, reinforcing its expansion strategy across the Iberian Peninsula. The Barcelona-based company will open what it says will be the largest coworking space in Spain in early 2026, and has also confirmed its first international venture with a new site in Lisbon, Portugal.

The upcoming Barcelona location, named Aticco Diagrame, will be located in the 22@ innovation district. The site spans 20,000 m2 and will offer capacity for over 2,200 users. The property is owned by real estate investment firm Patrizia SE and will be operated entirely by Aticco under a management agreement. The LEED Platinum-certified building integrates private offices, coworking areas, meeting rooms, and wellness amenities such as a gym, climbing wall, and pickleball court. It also features four terraces and event spaces, aiming to provide a full-service working environment.

In Lisbon, Aticco is set to launch its first location outside Spain with Aticco República, scheduled to open in summer 2026. The site will be located at Avenida da República in the Saldanha district, Lisbon’s financial hub. The 7,413 m²space is owned by Latvian real estate investment fund Incity Capital, with whom Aticco has signed another management agreement. The site will include private offices, shared workspaces, a gym, restaurant, and rooftop terrace. The decision to expand into Lisbon reflects the city’s growing reputation as a European startup hotspot.

Founded in 2016, Aticco has built a network of 15 locations across Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia, and now Lisbon. The company has also diversified its services to include coliving (Aticco Living) and an entrepreneurial support platform (Aticco Lab).

CEO Gabriel Espín explains that both new projects reflect Aticco’s strategy of aligning with property owners to deliver flexible workspace solutions that benefit both parties: “Our goal is to create connected environments that support project growth, talent exchange, and community-building.”

Aticco will speak at the Coworking Europe 2025 conference in Berlin.
