Southern England Regional Flex Operator Freedom Works Doubles Footprint, Targeting €8 Million in Revenue

Freedom Works Group, a regional flexible workspace and coworking operator based in Southern England, is targeting €8 million in annual revenue following a major expansion of its portfolio across England’s South Coast and the South East.
The expansion will add approximately 7,000 sqm of flexible workspace across 2–3 new locations within the next 18 months. Following completion, Freedom Works plans to expand its workspace footprint by around 50% and expects its member base to exceed 7,000 users.
A key milestone within this programme is the launch of a new 2,800 sqm flexible workspace in Leatherhead, Surrey, scheduled to open in January 2026. According to the company, the site is intended to serve local SMEs and professional firms and represents Freedom Works’ first major step into the Surrey market, extending its footprint beyond its historic coastal base.
The growth follows a strategic investment by Sixpenny Group, a UK property investment and asset management company.
Freedom Works Group was founded in 2016 by Jon Trigg and has grown into one of the largest independent flexible workspace operators on England’s South Coast. Prior to the Sixpenny transaction, the group operated 12 locations across Sussex, comprising over 11,600 sqm of flexible workspace.
The group operates two complementary brands: Freedom Works, focused on flexible offices and coworking solutions for SMEs and established regional businesses. And PLATF9RM, a larger-scale, city-centre coworking brand targeting creative, digital and technology-led companies.
Sixpenny Group is a UK-based property investment and development firm specializing in high-specification, sustainable commercial and residential real estate. The investment reflects Sixpenny’s stated confidence in the coworking and flexible office model as a durable real estate use.
“Companies have changed how they consume office space, moving from the traditional lease model to a more flexible and managed model, and we felt that this investment was the right next step in growing our commercial office offering,” said David Bowcock, Co-Founder and Director of Sixpenny Group in a recent article on SussexWorld.
