betahaus Takes Over Operations of Berlin’s Web3-Focused Coworking Space w3.hub

Long-established coworking operator betahaus is taking over the operations of Berlin-based Web3 community space w3.hub. The transition was announced in February 2026 through LinkedIn posts from both organisations. While financial terms have not been disclosed, the move will see w3.hub integrated into betahaus’s operational framework.

Founded in 2022, w3.hub has positioned itself as a central meeting point for Berlin’s blockchain and decentralised technology ecosystem. The space spans five floors of approximately 500 sqm each, plus a courtyard, and includes coworking desks, private offices, meeting rooms and event areas. It has hosted hackathons, meetups and other industry gatherings focused on Web3 development.

w3.hub is part of the broader w3.group ecosystem, a Berlin-based organisation supporting the blockchain and decentralised technology sectors. Beyond physical workspace, w3.group combines investment initiatives, token infrastructure and media activities aimed at fostering collaboration within the Web3 community.

According to statements from w3.hub leadership, the local Web3 community has reached a stage of maturity that now requires more structured operational management. Partnering with an experienced coworking operator is intended to support the hub’s next phase of growth while preserving its community focus.

betahaus, founded in Berlin in 2009, is considered one of Europe’s early coworking pioneers. The company operates 11 locations across cities including Berlin, Sofia, Barcelona, Hamburg and Bucharest. Its model combines flexible workspaces, private offices and event venues with community programming for startups, creatives and established businesses.

Both betahaus and w3.hub were featured during the Coworking Europe 2025 conference in Berlin, where their spaces were included in the official coworking tour programme.
