German Operator GoodSpaces Expands To 8th Location With New Regional Hub In Heidelberg

Germany’s GoodSpaces opens a new location, called Sunnyside Hub in Heidelberg, expanding its network to eight flexible workspace locations across Germany.
Sunnyside Hub includes nine rooms designed for meetings, workshops, and collaborative sessions, alongside an event space for up to 100 people. Communal areas intended to support networking and knowledge exchange between members.
Beyond meeting solutions, the operator also plans to position the venue as a cultural hub. According to Birk Frederik Bauer, Co-Founder & CEO of GoodSpaces, the site will host performances, rehearsals, exhibitions, and audiovisual art formats, reintroducing dedicated cultural space to Heidelberg after several years without similar venues in the city.
The opening festival on 12 June will include art installations, DJs, live bands, projection art, and food trucks from local hospitality operators and restaurants.
Founded in 2018, GoodSpaces currently operates eight flexible workspaces across five German cities: Karlsruhe, Heidelberg, Mannheim, Baden-Baden and Speyer. They are focusing on knowledge-intensive regional markets and suburban business districts outside Germany’s largest office hubs.
Heidelberg, home to approximately 160,000 residents and Germany’s oldest university, has become an increasingly active market for research-led startups and university-affiliated companies.
