HNK Expands Dutch Flex Office Network To 10 Locations With Rotterdam Opening

Dutch operator HNK has opened HNK Rotterdam Alexander, its new 10,000 sqm flagship flexible workspace in Rotterdam. The seven-storey building is HNK’s third location in the city, and the 10th location in the Netherlands.
The project involved the full repositioning of a 1981 office building into a hospitality-led flexible workspace focused on sustainability, wellbeing, and enterprise-ready workplace infrastructure.
The new location offers coworking space, managed offices, meeting rooms, and event facilities. Amenities include a rooftop terrace with bar, library, podcast studio, wellness space, restaurant, coffee bar, shared lounges, bicycle parking, charging stations, and 14 meeting rooms designed for different meeting formats. Two dedicated event spaces have also been created on the top floor.
According to Robert Sparreboom, Head of HNK, the site is designed to provide companies with a complete workplace solution, offering everything from private offices for four to 100 people and coworking memberships to meeting and event spaces bookable on demand.
The building is positioned as a flagship location within HNK’s network, reflecting the operator’s growing focus on hospitality, workplace services, and sustainability-led office environments. The interior concept was developed around biophilic design principles, with dedicated spaces for focused work, collaboration, wellness, and events.
HNK, short for “Het Nieuwe Kantoor” (“The New Office”), is owned by real estate company NSI and operates flexible workspace locations across Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, and The Hague. The brand, originally launched to activate vacant office space, has evolved into one of the Netherlands’ larger flex office operators.
