Industrious to Double APAC Portfolio by Mid-2027 Following Regional Rebrand

Global Flexible workspace operator Industrious plans to double its Asia-Pacific portfolio by mid-2027, following the rebranding of regional coworking operator The Great Room under the Industrious name. The company expects to grow its APAC footprint by more than 50% over the next 12 months, including the opening of three new locations in Singapore during 2026.
The regional rebrand took effect on 1 July 2026, when all the seven Asia-Pacific locations previously operating as The Great Room adopted the Industrious brand. The move follows Industrious’ acquisition of the Singapore-based premium workspace operator in May 2022. Since then, the two businesses have gradually integrated their operations, technology platforms, workplace design and member experience. According to the company, adopting a single global brand is the final step in that integration.
Industrious currently operates 12 locations across four Asia-Pacific markets: seven in Singapore, two in Sydney, two in Bangkok and one in Hong Kong.
The regional expansion forms part of Industrious’ wider international growth strategy. Following CBRE’s full acquisition of Industrious in 2025, the company has expanded its global portfolio by 58% and plans to open more than 60 new locations globally during 2026.
“Industrious is in a period of significant growth, and this rebrand reflects that momentum,” said Gentry Long, President of Industrious. “Establishing a single global brand unifies our team and members around the core values that have always defined us: premium hospitality, beautiful design, and a true sense of belonging. This next chapter ensures a seamless, mission-driven experience for our community worldwide.”
Founded in 2013, Industrious is one of the world’s largest premium flexible workspace operators. Owned by CBRE, the company now operates more than 250 flexible workspaces across more than 80 cities worldwide.
The leadership changes also underline the company’s strategic focus on the region. Yvan Maillard, a speaker at the Coworking Europe 2025 Conference in Berlin, has recently taken on the role of Vice President of Growth APAC after previously serving as Managing Director for Continental Europe.
