The Women’s Super League Football Organisation Takes a Managed Office at MetSpace London

Women’s Super League Football (WSL Football), the organisation responsible for England’s top two professional women’s football divisions, has chosen managed workspace provider MetSpace for its new London headquarters, marking its first dedicated office since becoming an independent company.

The organisation has relocated from Wembley Stadium to a 250 sqm managed office at MetSpace’s Clerkenwell location, in central London. The move reflects WSL Football’s transition into an independent business and its need for a workplace that can support a growing workforce while providing greater operational flexibility.

WSL Football operates the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL), England’s highest level of professional women’s football, and Barclays WSL2, the second-tier competition. The organisation became independent from the Football Association in 2024, assuming responsibility for the commercial and operational management of both leagues as the professional women’s game continues to expand.

According to WSL Football, the search for a new headquarters focused on finding a workspace capable of supporting its evolving organisation. Key requirements included natural light, multiple meeting rooms, flexible layouts that could accommodate varying office attendance throughout the week, and strong transport connections for employees travelling from across the United Kingdom.

“After researching our options and consulting with our agents, we realised a managed space would be the best fit for our needs,” said Georgie Acons, Head of Business Management at WSL Football.

MetSpace specialises in managed office space, providing fully fitted, self-contained offices that are customised for occupiers. Unlike conventional leases, managed offices typically include workplace design, fit-out, furniture, technology, facilities management and ongoing operational support under a single agreement, allowing occupiers to avoid the capital expenditure and day-to-day management associated with traditional office space.

Founded in 1999, MetSpace operates more than 50 floors of office space across prime Central London locations, offering managed offices, private offices, meeting facilities and flexible workspace solutions to organisations ranging from startups to larger corporate occupiers.
