Swiss flexible workspace operator Headsquarter to Open Sixth Zurich Site

Swiss flexible workspace operator Headsquarter will open its sixth Zurich location in spring 2027, converting a historic lakefront building into a 2,500 sqm of flexible workspace for over 300 people. Named “The Iconic,” the site sits directly on Lake Zurich and is described by the operator as the city’s first flexible workspace with lake access.

The building was the former headquarters of insurer Swiss Life. The redevelopment will combine the historic architecture with contemporary interiors and a flexible workspace concept, offering private offices and meeting rooms alongside community spaces, a private courtyard and outdoor workspaces.

The location sits at minutes from Zurich’s historic financial district and around a five-minute walk from a central train station, positioning it between the city’s banking core and its growing international technology community.

Founded in Zurich in 2017 by Flavian Hachler and Simon Schramli, Headsquarter operates five premium coworking locations in the city centre, each built around a distinctive theme and all within walking distance of one another. Its existing network comprises more than 12,000 sqm of space, 36 meeting rooms and over 4,000 sqm of community area, serving an international membership. The operator positions its offer around hotel-style hospitality and design, with membership options ranging from flexible access passes to fixed desks, private offices and fully customised floors / managed office.
