September brought another wave of leadership changes, new hires and promotions across the coworking and flexible workspace industry. This month’s roundup covers moves at flexible workspace operators, landlords, brokers, workplace technology companies and businesses from the wider hospitality and workplace ecosystem.
Leadership moves – Top executives
Megan Kennedy has joined The Social Hub, the European hybrid hospitality group combining hotels, student accommodation, coworking and other amenities, as Chief Operating Officer. Bringing more than 20 years of experience across hospitality and lifestyle businesses, she will oversee operations across the group’s European portfolio.
Emmanuelle Lanzada has stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at STATION F, the Paris startup campus bringing together startups, investors and corporate innovation programmes.
Kristian Skriver Laustsen is stepping down as CEO of Coworking Plus, the Danish coworking operator. He is leaving the role to dedicate more time to KomPublic, his communications and public affairs business.
Leadership moves – Strategic roles
Alexandra Maclean has joined Knotel, the flexible workspace operator owned by Newmark, as Global Marketing Director.
Michał Kwinta, who has been with Mindspace for almost a decade, has expanded his responsibilities as General Manager CEE to include Romania alongside Poland. Mindspace is a global flexible workspace operator with locations across Europe and the US.
Patric Röösli has joined Westhive, the Swiss flexible workspace operator combining workspace with hospitality, gastronomy and events, as Head of Finance.
Andrew Debenham has joined Gilbanks, the UK premium flexible workspace operator, as Commercial Director. Joining from The Instant Group, where he was Senior Director, Debenham will oversee leasing strategy, occupier relationships and landlord partnerships as Gilbanks expands its UK portfolio.
Julia Verch has joined Scaling Spaces, the German flexible workspace operator, as Senior Sales Manager after five years at Design Offices. She will work across client acquisition, key accounts and sales development.
Claire Luik has returned to Preferred Office Network as Program Director. The global network connects corporate clients with flexible workspace providers, and Luik will lead client programme execution and support strategic initiatives.
Phillip Clark has joined NewFlex, the UK flexible workspace operator and management partner, as Head of Building Acquisitions. He joins after eight years at WeWork, where he held senior positions across strategic growth, portfolio sales and leasing.
Arron Browne has joined global commercial real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield as Head of Flexible Offices London. Previously Director of Business Development for EMEA and APAC at WeWork International, Browne will work across occupiers, landlords and flexible workspace operators.
Laura Woollard has joined infinitSpace as Brand & Marketing Director at its London headquarters. infinitSpace partners with landlords to create and operate flexible workspaces, including locations under its beyond brand. The company has also welcomed Gift Immanuel as Community Host at beyond The Bower in London. beyond is the coworking brand of infinitSpace.
Jake Mellor has joined global commercial real estate consultancy JLL as Associate Director – FLEX Lease Advisory & Managed Solutions, following ten years at London flexible workspace provider Workspace Group.
Nick Andrews has joined GPE, the London property company and office landlord, to lead Corporate and Commercial Marketing, following his previous role heading marketing at Knotel.
Gareth Thomas has joined Argyll, the premium London flexible workspace operator, as Commercial People Partner.
Liva Kacara has been promoted to Senior Product Designer at Nexudus, the coworking and flexible workspace management software provider.
Additional moves across the coworking ecosystem
After seven years at WeWork, Paweł Strzemecki has left his position as Head of Leasing, Northern Europe & UAE. His next move has not yet been announced.
After nearly eight years at WeWork, Marta Szymczak has moved to Adyen, the global financial technology company, as Enterprise Account Manager in Warsaw. During her time at WeWork, she worked across several European markets.
Sandra Schuldt has also left WeWork after 7.5 years, most recently working as Account Director / Sales Executive – Enterprise & Strategic Accounts. Her next move has not yet been announced.
William Tattersall Sales director has left Canvas Offices, the London flexible workspace operator, after nearly six years with the company. His next move has not yet been announced.
Adi Ben Nun has left Mindspace after four years as Design Director, during which she led design globally for the flexible workspace operator. She is launching her own interior design studio focused on commercial interiors, including workplace and hospitality.
Michael Lutz has joined global hospitality group Ennismore as General Manager of The Hoxton Hamburg.
Deniz Can Sebik has left flexible workspace operator Techspace to join workplace food provider Bella&Bona as Account Manager, responsible for customers in Berlin and Munich, with NRW to follow.
Bharath V Nair has joined Office Hub, the global flexible workspace brokerage and marketplace, as Legal Counsel, a newly created position. In London, Harry Peacham has been promoted to Account Manager within the company.
Felix B. König has joined 1000 Satellites, the German flexible workspace operator, as Senior Key Account Manager, while Nina Steller has joined the company as Event Manager.
Katarzyna Loewnau has joined Polish flexible workspace operator THE SHIRE – Beyond Coworking as Senior Leasing Manager in Gdynia, with responsibility for its new Gdynia Waterfront location. Paulina Stachura has also joined the operator as Leasing Manager.
Céline Chanoni has joined French coworking operator B’CoWorker as Chargée de commercialisation B’Coworker Nantes / Angers, focusing on commercial development across the two markets. Maurane Caro has also joined B’CoWorker as Coworking Manager in Le Mans.
Nina Lahtonen has joined Technopolis, the office campus and shared workspace operator, as Key Account Manager for the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Bringing seven years of real estate experience, she will work across the company’s Ruoholahti, Otaniemi and Aviapolis campuses, focusing on new customer acquisition.
Valtteri Meriläinen has joined Epicenter Helsinki, the innovation hub combining workspace, community and events, as Event Producer.
Sofia Enblom has joined Cecil Coworking as Operations & Sales Manager, Göteborg. Cecil is the coworking concept of Swedish property company Hufvudstaden, with its Göteborg workspace located in the Kvarteret Johanna development.
Angela Kesting has joined Nexpace, the Dutch flexible workspace operator, as Sales Manager.
Markus Czakert has joined Austrian flexible office operator YOUR OFFICE as Head of Sales & Leasing, bringing more than 15 years of experience in real estate.
Joe McCarthy has joined Elementa Workspace, the London flexible workspace operator formerly known as Landmark, as Client Journey Specialist.
Abigail Price has been promoted to Senior Community Manager at x+why, the UK flexible workspace operator.
Saga Erlandsson has joined Mindpark, the Swedish coworking and event-space operator, as Community Host.
Lucy Moist has joined Clockwise Offices, the UK and European flexible workspace operator, as Community Coordinator.
