Co-Founder Exits Entreprenörsgatan, a Swedish Coworking Operator with €3.6M in Annual Revenue

Co-founder Eric Cardell has sold his stake in Entreprenörsgatan Coworking, the Gothenburg-based Swedish flexible workspace operator, ending an 18-year involvement in the business. His long-standing business partner, Rikard Westberg, continues to lead the company and its planned expansion.
Cardell and Westberg opened their first coworking in Gothenburg in 2008. Over the years, the pair built the company from a standing start to around €3.6 million in annual turnover, roughly 6,000 sqm of space and some 900 members.
Today, Entreprenörsgatan operates five sites in central Gothenburg, housing more than 180 companies. It offers private offices, fixed desks and flexible workspace, along with bookable meeting rooms and shared services including community breakfasts, coffee, lunches and networking events.
Cardell said he had not worked operationally in the business for two years, making the sale a natural step to free up energy for other projects, and that letting go was not easy after so long. He indicated he does not intend to leave the coworking sector entirely, without giving further detail.
Cardell is also the co-owner of Calere, a company that operates in property development, management and construction in Gothenburg.
