Amsterdam’s Capital C Opens Second Flexible Workspace in the City Centre

Dutch flexible workspace operator Capital C is opening a second Amsterdam site in the city centre, extending its office concept beyond its original flagship. The new location, called Bloemenmarkt (Flower Market) is in a former financial-centre building, and being converted into a roughly 6,000 sqm flexible office and tech hub aimed mainly at start-ups and scale-ups, and renovation is already under way.
The site will combine office space with shared amenities, events and a network for entrepreneurs and companies, with a particular focus on users from the technology and creative sectors. It offers private offices, meeting rooms and open-plan desks.
“What makes Bloemenmarkt interesting is everything we can build around the office. We can bring startups into the same room as investors, connect founders with more established businesses at our other location, and use our events, hospitality and wider network to create opportunities that go beyond the working day” – said Lisa Vergeer, Commercial Director, Capital C.
Capital C’s first and flagship location is in the former Diamond Exchange in central Amsterdam, spanning nearly 10,000 sqm. The monumental 1911 building is topped by a glass dome and transformed into the Capital C concept, offering two floors of office space alongside meeting and event venues, and a bar & restaurant on the rooftop. The concept was founded by entrepreneur Willem Sijthoff.
