Coworking Europe 2020 will be a HYBRID event.
On top of the event happening physically in Vienna on November 25-27th, we are building a virtual layer for all attendees.
Pure virtual attendees that can’t make it this year to Vienna or prefer to join us from the comfort of their homes or (hopefully) coworking space, will get access to our online conference platform. The platform creates an engaging virtual event where you’ll be able to join all our sessions live, connect and engage with peers from all around the globe.
The delegates who are joining us physically in Vienna will also benefit of all the additional features like rewatching sessions or watching session that they had missed in the first place, not to mention the chat rooms, the interactive opportunities, polls and more.
Virtual and physical delegates will be logged in together on the same platform, making the experience as seamless as possible for every participant.
Join us also virtually for our 2020 edition!
The virtual venue
The conference platform is designed to replicate the experience of a regular physical venue. The virtual venue offers multiple interactive areas for connecting and engaging: rooms, chat areas, chat-channels for specific topics or session, exhibition floor, etc. As an attendee, you’ll be able to move in and out of rooms just like our on-site delegates and enjoy the content and connections the conference offers. The navigation around the virtual venue will surely be as close as the physical experience.
Keynotes & Panels live streamed
We will broadcast all our content for you on live video. You will be able to get in and out sessions every time you want, switch between simultaneous sessions and choose the content that suits you the most. You can watch sessions from your computer, smartphone or tablet and participate in live polls and live Q&A during panels, talks and workshops. Sessions will also be recorded for you to watch or rewatch during 6 months.
Networking areas will let you network just like you would at our in-person conference. You’ll be able to participate in discussion channels, contact any delegate directly and initiate 1:1 online video chats.
Breakout sessions live participation
You’ll be able to join online sessions and workshops where you’ll be able to share you gather around a virtual roundtables and share your ideas, collaborate & discuss. Make your voice heard before or after the sessions. All speakers and panelists will keep being reachable through the platform.
Our well-known unconference sessions, with peer to peer conversations and content, will be held online and offline in this 2020 edition. There will be several parallel unconference sessions at different times during day 2 (Thursday, November 26th). Like every year there will be dozens of different coworking and flex workspace topics, proposed by “you”, to discuss and share knowledge about. This year we are considering to facilitate sessions hold per country and/or language to allow for local deep dives, if there is enough interest.
What are the biggest challenges you are facing in your space at the moment? Are you overwhelmed with manual administration processes? Providing a stable and easy print-service which you can charge for to your community seems impossible? You are looking for a way to flexibilize access to our space and sell meeting rooms outside of office hours? You want to make your space stick out of the crowd and need a designer? A flex office consultancy? At the Exhibition Area you’ll be able to find virtual booths where you can get in touch with each company using dedicated chatrooms or video calls. A lot of information, special offers and interesting conversations wait for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the content of the Coworking Europe 2020 virtual part be the same as the physical conference?
Indeed. Panels and keynotes will be live-streamed. Online Q&A will be made possible during and in the immediate aftermath of the sessions. Speakers and panelists will be available to answer questions through the virtual conference platform messaging system.
Will I be able to meet and interact with all the other attendees?
Definitely. The virtual conference platform will also be the event App delegates physically present in Vienna will use to get their information and interact. The goal is to have a seamless as possible experience for both virtual and physically attending delegates. One to one video chats will be possible based on invites and acceptation by the counterparts.
Can I choose to attend different sessions or will there be only one live stream to watch?
You will be able to switch from one breakout session to another anytime you want. The experience will be as close as the experience you would get as an attendee in Vienna.
If I miss a session, can I watch it later as a record?
Yes. The records will be available up to May 2021.
What are the technical solutions you will be using?
We work with a couple of platform providers who have build specific hybrid conference tools, integrating streaming, information push possibilities, one to one chatrooms, exhibition and more. The tools create a virtual venue similar to the physical venue experience the audience present in Vienna will enjoy. The virtual attendees will be closely associated during the sessions, and faces displayed on screens in the rooms, for those who will have turned their camera on.
How can I join the virtual conference?
People who buy their virtual pass will receive a code to login on the platform within a few weeks. You will be able to create your profile. We will upload content prior to the conference and likely host some pre-conversations.
How can I follow or take part in the unconference?
The interactive unconference sessions will be live audio streamed. A community manager will share the question and allow people to directly share their input with the participant of the unconference sessions. In the case of too many interaction, the community manager will filter the questions and inputs. Conversation will keep going, if necessary, through the chatroom, after the session.
Why is it worth it to still come to Vienna to attend the Coworking Europe 2020 conference?
There are many reasons. Just as in coworking, we know that although great, virtual presence is not as enjoyable as the physical presence and the in person encounters. You will have more accidental fruitful introductions (although this will also be possible virtually through some random breakout coffee breaks organized online). You will be able to get more of the vibes and delights from the conference and from the great Vienna city. The coworking tour of Vienna and Bratislava (40 min away from the Austrian capital) will also be a paramount of the conference, during the event’s week.
Can I change my mind and still come physically to attend the conference in Vienna once I have my virtual ticket?
Absolutely. Those having a virtual ticket booked and who choose to come to Vienna still will have the opportunity to upgrade their ticket by buying an extra access, which will be the difference between the price of the virtual ticket and the price of the physical event pass at the time they purchase it.
