Charlie Green, co-founder The Office Group (London)
Charlie Green is the co-founder of The Office Group (TOG). TOG has over 15,000 members working across 33 buildings, 31 of which are in London. In 2017, the Blackstone investment fund took a majority share in TOG, valuing the company at 500 millions £.
Charlie Green started his career in commercial agency, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1995 at Colliers International, on the graduate rotation programme. He then left to join property company MWB Group Plc. Working on their serviced office subsidiary, he was responsible for acquiring both leasehold and freehold opportunities for the business, working directly for the senior management of the business and having significant involvement in the strategy for the growth of MWB BX.
In 2003, Charlie and his co-founder Olly had a shared vision to challenge the traditional serviced office market and having raised initial funding, started TOG with the acquisition of its first freehold.
Charlie is responsible for the real estate side of the business, identifying and acquiring new buildings and leading the construction and delivery of the schemes, working closely with architects and driving the design of the space. Charlie and Olly continue to work closely together to ensure that the design, both form and function, remains paramount to the success of each building.
Charlie oversees the continuing property elements to the business, leads the funding arrangements with the CFO and has general input in all aspects of the business, from marketing to HR. The culture, direction and strategy of the business is very much driven by the combination of both Olly and Charlie and their shared vision for TOG, the product and its ambitions to change the way we are all working
Charlie has a BSc (Hons) in Estate Management from Oxford Brookes University and is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
