Herwig is the founder of the first Coworking space geared towards the five coworking values in Tyrol situated in Innsbrucks old town and main street. Between autumn 2018 and spring 2020 he developed a coworking space in Schwaz with his expertise in cooperation with the city marketing department of the municipality. The facility was refurbished and temporarily managed as a second Raum13 location. In March 2020 it was handed over to the municipality to be operated independently. The Coworking Schwaz space was originally a café: Kaffeehaus Heiss. With lots of effort and creativity, Herwig Zöttl transformed the place into a coworking space without compromising its characteristic features.
As the coworking “pioneer” in Tyrol, Herwig has been dealing with coworking and similar forms of “new work” since 2013 and are constantly expanding our wealth of experience by visiting spaces throughout Europe (e.g. Germany, Italy, Austria, Malta) as well as summits and congresses. Herwig is with his Raum13 Coworking Space (founding) member of CoworkationALPS. The vision of CoworkationALPS is to make sustainable use of space and to combine the potential of new working environments with the leisure value and flair of the Alps. He is involved in this network on the topics of community management, coworking values and also in project and regional development processes.
He is currently developing a coworking retreat in the mountains to complement his space in the capital of the Alps.
