Pauline Thomas is the founder and director of Le Laptop, one of Europe’s very first coworking spaces, launched in 2012 in Paris and now also established in Marseille. A designer by profession and a pioneer of collaborative and user-centered ways of working in France, she created Le Laptop with a deep ambition to rethink the meaning, value, and environment of work.
From its opening as the fifth coworking space in France, Le Laptop was conceived as a true ecosystem built around the trio of “Space, People, Methods.” Recognized by the international press as one of the most beautiful workspaces in the world, it was designed to help people rediscover the joy of working together and to equip them with the tools needed to create projects with sustainable, social, and economic impact.
Originally conceived as a playground for freelancers, Le Laptop has since become France’s first training center dedicated to UX methods and home to the country’s largest community of designers. Today, it supports not only independent professionals but also large corporations, government ministries, agencies, and SMEs.
Drawing on her experience at Adobe and Google, and as a member of the inaugural class of the Google Design Sprint Academy, Pauline Thomas continues to promote her innovative vision of work, bringing together collaboration, creativity, and technology.
