Düsseldorf based Factory Campus is to generate 99% of own electricity consumption on its 34.000 m2 wide facility.

Factory Campus coworking ecosystem was launched in 2016 in a former metal processing industrial site. With the help of its partners, the company is completing the coverage of a great deal of the facility’s wide roof surface with photovoltaic panels.

“In the future, we will be able to supply around 1,000 people from the creative, IT and start-up scene with climate-friendly electricity and enable completely sustainable work”, explains the team.

The extra power production will also allow Factory Campus to add charging options for electric vehicles such as e-bikes and e-cars.
