The Dutch coworking spaces network De Stadstuin opens up its capital to all its members and stakeholders

The Dutch coworking spaces network De Stadstuin opens up its capital to all its members and stakeholders.
De Stadstuin, launched in 2015, now operates locations in Utrecht and Den Bosch, covering 50.000 m2 of surface, according to the company. The spaces are built in previously left-over empty facilities, such as a former factory, that the company refurbishes.
De Stadstuin looks for 780.000 € via a crowdfunding campaign to grow its footprint all across The Netherlands. The cities of Breda, Amsterdam and Arnhem are on the radar. Entry ticket is minimum 500 €.
“We could have followed the route of traditional investments, but the energy and collaboration with our members, tenants and partners are so valuable that we decided to involve them in our growth, explains Edo Wiersema, De Stadstuin’s founder. They helped us get to where we are today; it makes sense that they are part of our future.”
