Swiss Operator Westhive Expands To Ninth Location In Zurich After Raising New Growth Capital

Swiss coworking operator Westhive has announced plans for its ninth location, a 5,000 sqm workspace and hospitality hub in Zurich Altstetten, one of the city’s fastest-growing districts.
The project will combine flexible offices, event spaces, and gastronomy under one roof. The new site is scheduled to open in phases, with the food and beverage concept, branded “The Kitchen Yard”, launching in October 2026, followed by the coworking and office spaces in October 2027.
According to Westhive, the new location is designed to serve startups, scale-ups, and established corporate occupiers, combining high-quality workspace with curated events and community programming. The operator describes the concept as a holistic workplace experience rather than a traditional coworking centre.
A key feature of the project will be the integration of a well-known local culinary destination, which Westhive plans to transform into a neighbourhood gathering place by incorporating its hospitality-led food concept. The company sees gastronomy as an important component of workplace experience and community building.
The announcement follows a strong year for Westhive. Earlier in 2026, the Swiss operator closed a new funding round and reported annual revenues exceeding €21.5 million while remaining operationally profitable. The new capital is intended to support further expansion across Switzerland, underscoring the company’s confidence in continued demand for premium, hospitality-led workspace solutions.
Founded in 2017, Westhive has grown into one of Switzerland’s leading premium workspace operators. The company currently operates eight locations with around 2,000 workstations across Zurich, Zug, Basel, and Geneva. Its concept combines coworking, private offices, event infrastructure, and a growing food and beverage business, which today includes five restaurants integrated into its locations. With Zurich Altstetten, the network will expand to nine locations.
