British coworking operator x+why continues rapid expansion with new workspaces in Leeds and London

The British coworking operator x+why continues its rapid expansion with the announcement of a new workspace in Leeds. The company is set to open a 3,100 m² space, which will also feature a 500 m² rooftop area.
This new location will join x+why’s portfolio of over 40,000 m² of flexible office spaces, receptions, and food-and-beverage-focused clubspaces housed in highly sustainable buildings across London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Milton Keynes.
The project is a result of a partnership with Martley Capital Group. x+why will occupy the first, second, and ninth floors of the “Bridgewater Place” building. The tower’s owners have raised £35 million to fund a complete refurbishment. x+why’s fully revamped workspace is slated to open in late 2025, offering suites ranging from 4 desks to a customizable 460 m² office, tailored to member needs.
Additionally, x+why will manage the main building reception, including a new coffee bar located in the revitalized atrium.
“We are building a national infrastructure of cutting-edge workspaces, designed to combine hospitality, design and sustainability. We plan to be in every gateway city in the UK. We believe in creating a single hospitality platform across all amenities in offices to provide best in class tenant experience and support what the office is all about today”, comments Rupert Dean, x+why’s CEO.
Meanwhile, x+why announced another partnership in London with a major landlord, The Bedford Estates Bloomsbury, due to open in 2025 (cc HEWN Will Kinnear)
