Spanish Coworking Operator Utopicus Expands with a New 3,000 m² location in Madrid’s Colonial Hub

The Spanish flexible workspace operator Utopicus has opened a new location in Madrid, adding 3,053 m2 of coworking and flexible office space within Colonial’s new Madnum hub, a 90,000 m² complex designed to integrate workspaces with a full range of corporate services.

The new Utopicus site is part of a complex combining flexible offices, corporate headquarters, and service offerings under one roof, says the company. The hub includes restaurants, a gym, physiotherapy services, event areas, and an auditorium with capacity for 230 people, with a focus on energy efficiency.

“Designed by Proyecto Singular, the workspace draws inspiration from historic London and New York social clubs, using natural and sustainable materials to create an accessible, neutral-toned environment. Additional features include a landscaped terrace overlooking Madrid’s skyline and a multipurpose events room”, writes Utopicus.

Utopicus currently operates 12 locations in Madrid and Barcelona, offering more than 41,000 m² of flexible workspaceto over 400 companies. The operator is wholly owned by Colonial, one of Spain’s leading real estate groups specializing in prime office buildings in Madrid, Barcelona, and Paris.

The company was founded in 2010, in Madrid.
